An end-of-life doula, sometimes called a death doula, provides non-medical emotional, practical and educational support to individuals and families before, during and after the dying process. Support can include end-of-life planning, family conversations, caregiver support, bedside presence, legacy work and guidance as families navigate what comes next.

Hospice provides medical care, symptom management and clinical support for people nearing the end of life. An end-of-life doula provides non-medical support and can work alongside hospice, healthcare providers and family caregivers. Our role is to offer additional time, guidance, education and presence so individuals and families feel more informed and supported throughout the experience.

There is no single right time to reach out. Some families contact an end-of-life doula after a terminal diagnosis or when hospice begins, while others seek support during the final days of life. The right time is when it feels right for you and your family.
